Product Description
How Copper Washers Are Made?
The manufacturing process of our copper washers involves several steps to get durability, accuracy and consistency:
- Mold Stamping: Copper sheets are stamped using molds with exact shapes and dimensions. This ensures uniformity across large quantities.
- Magnetic Polishing: The freshly stamped washers are polished through a magnetic process. This removes sharp edges and gives the washer a smooth surface finish.
- Electroplating: During the electroplating process, a protective layer is applied which improves corrosion resistance and extends the life of the copper washer especially in harsh environments.
- Inspection & Quality Control: We strictly inspect every Each batch of our production. This includes dimensional checks and performance testing to ensure every copper washer meets automotive and industrial standards.
- Protective Packaging: Finally the copper washers are packaged to prevent damage during storage and shipping so they reach the customer in perfect condition.
The production process of copper washers includes raw material preparation, stamping, cleaning, heat treatment, inspection, and packaging. Copper washers are mainly used for sealing engine oil in automotive engines, brake fluid in braking systems, and transmission oil in transmission systems. Copper washers feature good wear resistance, a dense and reliable seal after annealing, and excellent ductility.
Stamping Process: Stamping offers high production efficiency, with stamping speeds reaching up to 120 strokes per minute. Dies can be designed according to product requirements to produce multiple parts per stroke, significantly increasing production capacity. Products also exhibit stable dimensions and good consistency. Applications include contactors, copper contact bridges for circuit breakers, automotive parts, door lock sheet metal, and gaskets of various materials. Press tonnage ranges from 25 to 630 tons.
Cleaning Process: Equipped with automated cleaning lines that support multiple cleaning processes, including chemical cleaning, mechanical cleaning, and ultrasonic cleaning. This allows us to provide tailored cleaning solutions for different products and their specific surface appearance requirements. Typical applications include cleaning components made from iron, copper, silver, and silver–copper alloys.
Heat Treatment Process: Include box annealing furnaces, continuous annealing furnaces, and vacuum annealing furnaces, among others. With a wide range of heat treatment equipment, we can provide tailored heat treatment solutions for products made from different materials.
Inspection Capability: Our inspection equipment includes coordinate measuring machines, vision measuring systems, metallographic microscopes, spectrometers, universal testing machines, salt spray test chambers, and other instruments. With high measurement accuracy and comprehensive testing capabilities, we can meet a wide range of inspection requirements for different products.
