On May 28, the opening ceremony and first session of the 2026 Fuda English Corner, themed "Breaking the Ice and Setting Sail", was successfully held at Fuda Alloy's headquarters. The event was attended by Chen Qiongqiong, HR Director of Fuda Alloy; Cai Xi, Vice Dean of the School of Foreign Languages at Wenzhou University of Technology; and faculty members Zhang Wenxuan and Dr. Gerald.
A Time Capsule for New Aspirations
At check-in, participants completed a special "English Time Capsule" activity. Each participant received a "My English Goal Card", wrote down their English learning goals for the end of the program, and placed the card into a sealed time capsule box.
This meaningful activity added a stronger sense of ceremony to the event and encouraged participants to make a personal commitment to their English learning journey.

The host then reviewed the key achievements of the English Corner over the past three years. From 2023 to 2025, across three consecutive editions, 31 outstanding participants were selected for Fuda's international project talent reserve pool. The English Corner has become a signature platform for developing globally minded talent within Fuda Alloy.
With an upgraded program structure in 2026, the English Corner will provide participants with a more systematic and personalized learning experience.

She reviewed the successful start of the partnership between the two sides in 2025 and noted that this year's English Corner marks another in-depth school-enterprise talent development initiative jointly carried out by Fuda Alloy and Wenzhou University of Technology.
To support the program, Wenzhou University of Technology will provide strong teaching resources and experienced faculty members, offering full support for participants throughout the program.

After the opening ceremony, the first session officially began. Faculty members from Wenzhou University of Technology delivered an engaging lecture on "How to Introduce Yourself in English".
The session covered content structure, practical sentence patterns, pronunciation techniques, and body language, helping participants build confidence in workplace communication.

The "Topic Dice" segment brought lively energy to the session. Participants moved beyond departmental boundaries and sat in groups, taking turns rolling dice printed with different topics.
Based on the topic they rolled, each participant shared one or two sentences in English. Other group members then asked follow-up questions or gave responses, creating spontaneous conversations.
