Under the guidance of the Expert Advisory Committee, the Institute is supported by key functional departments and innovation platforms, including the Science and Technology Project Department, the Proof-of-Concept Laboratory, the Silver-Alternative New Materials Department, and the AI Application Technology Department.

The Institute is also supported by several recognized R&D platforms, including the National Enterprise Technology Center, the National Postdoctoral Research Workstation, the Zhejiang Provincial Key Enterprise Research Institute, and the Zhejiang Provincial Engineering Research Center.

This structure provides a clearer foundation for standardized management, cross-functional collaboration, and systematic R&D operations.

Defining the Institute’s Strategic Direction

Dr. Song Zhenyang, Group Vice President, CTO, and President of the Institute, delivered a report titled "Strategic Planning and Operating Mechanism of the Institute.” In the report, he outlined the Institute’s strategic positioning, development roadmap, operating mechanism, and key research priorities.

Dr. Song noted that Fuda’s innovation journey has evolved from entrepreneurship-driven innovation 30 years ago to innovation-driven entrepreneurship today. Building on Fuda’s long-standing spirit of exploration, the Institute will focus on breaking conventional thinking, advancing industry-oriented research, and supporting the Group’s next stage of growth.

To achieve this, the Institute will build an integrated innovation system covering strategy, resources, platforms, intellectual property, and projects. This system will help the Institute support the Group’s "3+3+3+X+N” strategy, accelerate the development of silver-saving and silver-alternative technologies, and explore future-oriented advanced materials.

Through these efforts, the Institute aims to become a center for advanced technology, a source of new growth momentum, and a platform that embodies Fuda’s innovation culture.

Expert Support and Cross-Company Collaboration

During the conference, an appointment ceremony was held for the Institute’s expert advisory team. The team is composed of senior technical experts with long-term experience across different business areas, strong theoretical knowledge, extensive R&D expertise, and deep market understanding.

He pointed out that this new stage of the Fuda Institute of Advanced Materials represents a systematic transformation of Fuda’s innovation system and operating mechanism. It is also a strategic move for the company to embrace change, overcome development bottlenecks, and build long-term competitiveness.

Wang Dawu highlighted three key directions for the Institute’s future development:
First, Fuda will build a market-oriented talent partnership mechanism. Through flexible equity arrangements, transferable research outcomes, and joint project incubation, the company aims to better unlock the value of talent and stimulate innovation.

Second, the Institute will strengthen continuous technology iteration. It will focus on key development directions for core products, including silver reduction, miniaturization, and silver-alternative technologies, while deepening university-industry collaboration and continuing to tackle breakthrough technologies.

Third, Fuda will promote forward-looking industrial incubation. The company aims to select and develop one new business direction in advanced materials every two to three years, forming a positive cycle from R&D breakthroughs to technology transfer and new industrial growth.

Wang Dawu also emphasized the importance of strategic alignment, organizational efficiency, resource integration, talent development, platform building, corporate culture, continuous learning, and results-driven innovation. He encouraged the Institute to create a closed loop from frontier research to mass production and application, helping transform core technologies into industrial value.
